Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Clip Caption Kit, available at clipcaptionkit.com (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. What the Service does

Clip Caption Kit splits a master SRT subtitle file and a timeline CSV into clip-relative SRT and TXT deliverables plus a manifest, packaged as a downloadable ZIP. Parsing, validation and packaging run locally in your browser. The subtitle and CSV files you select are processed on your device and are not uploaded to our servers.

2. Accounts

  • You may need an account to export deliverables. Accounts are created with an email verification code or through Google sign-in.
  • You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
  • Accounts are personal. Do not share your account with other people or organizations.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the Service for any unlawful purpose;
  • interfere with or disrupt the Service, or attempt to access it other than through the official interface;
  • circumvent plan limits, quotas or access controls;
  • use the Service to process content you have no right to use.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

4. Plans and billing

  • The Free plan includes one lifetime project with up to 200 subtitle cues.
  • The Studio plan is USD 29 per month and removes both limits.
  • Paid subscriptions are sold and billed through Lemon Squeezy as our merchant of record. Payment details are collected and processed by Lemon Squeezy, not by us.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the paid period. Refunds are handled under Lemon Squeezy's refund policy.
  • Prices may change. Changes apply to new purchases and renewals after we have announced them on the site.

5. Your content

You keep all rights to the subtitle files, timeline data and exported deliverables you create with the Service. We store only the account, plan-usage and billing records described in the Privacy Policy. You grant us only the limited rights needed to operate the Service, such as storing your account email and usage counters.

6. Intellectual property

The Service, including its design, text, branding and code, is owned by Clip Caption Kit and protected by applicable law. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership to you. Deliverables you export may be used freely in your own productions.

7. Availability and changes

We work to keep the Service available and reliable, but we may add, change or remove features at any time. There is no uptime guarantee. Your subtitle files are processed locally, so a discontinued or offline Service does not lock away files already on your device.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that exported deliverables are error-free. Always review deliverables before handing them off.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Clip Caption Kit will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid to us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service and request account deletion at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms or if required by law. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "last updated" date above shows the current version. Material changes will be announced on the site. Continued use of the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
