How do I make every subtitle appear earlier?

Choose Earlier and enter the fixed offset. That duration is subtracted from the start and end of every cue.

What happens to negative subtitle times?

Cues ending at or before zero are removed. A cue that crosses zero is clipped so it starts at 00:00:00,000, and both counts are shown before download.

Can this fix subtitles that drift over time?

No. A fixed offset fixes captions that are consistently early or late. Gradual drift needs proportional time scaling or a new subtitle export.
